PEERS Renovations: Making Progress

PEERS Family Development Center renovations are currently underway, and the changes are already noticeable. Thanks to former PEERS board member Rolland Leach, husband of PEERS director Tondrea Leach, PEERS is getting a makeover for its 40th anniversary. Mr. Leach has installed new flooring in the infant room and toddler room, as well as the upstairs offices. He has also repainted the walls and created a wooden cutout for child abuse prevention, which can be seen on PEERS’ front lawn. Mr. Leach has volunteered his time, money, and labor to complete these repairs, and PEERS is extremely grateful for all of his hard work. In addition, PEERS Director Tondrea Leach and Human Resources Aide Kandice Mason have worked to redecorate the child care rooms in order to create a more welcoming environment for children. Changes include new carpets, a reading corner, and added toys.
