PARENT EDUCATION ENHANCEMENT
PEERS' parent education classes aim to extend short term support and empathy to parents and couples who are in immediate need of assistance in their role as parents. PEERS also provides referrals to other services available in the Onslow County area upon request. Follow the link down below for our brochure and more information. In the Community Training section on this page, there is a link to our current class offerings.

Parent Education Enhancement Brochure
We have served 421 parents this past year through our Parenting Education Enhancement Program. We currently offer more than 15 unique parenting education curricula.
This year we have supported 17 Adolescent Parents and 11 children with our APP.
Watch this video for more information about what our program has to offer.
ADOLESCENT PARENTING PROGRAM
PEER's Adolescent Parenting Program (APP) works to support parenting and pregnant teens through 1 on 1 and group services. Our staff uses the Parents as Teachers curriculum to develop our teens as parents by teaching them about parent-child interactions, development-centered parenting behaviors, and skills to develop their family well-being. Teens earn points through their participation in the program that they can spend on donated items to support themselves and their family.

CHILD CARE PROGRAM
The child care program has been designed for parents who need temporary child care due to appointments and/or respite care. The program is available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of most weeks from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM by reservation only. To reserve a spot for your child call the office at 910-333-9725
Before we can schedule a child's first visit we would need our intake application and demographic form completely filled out, a copy of the birth certificate, updated shot record and a copy of the guardians photo ID.
Child Care Intake Application
506 childcare slots have been filled by children and families in Onslow County this year alone.
173 volunteers have put in over 2,060 hours, saving us more than $355,000 dollars!
